What does a “Day-of” Wedding Coordinator Do

What does a “Day-of” Wedding Coordinator Do
March 4, 2018

Have you ever been to a wedding where it was clear the couple could have used more help? Perhaps things were always running late, there were not enough helpers or the whole event seemed disorganized? This looks bad on the bride and groom, and it definitely is not fun to be a guest at such a wedding. I’ve been a guest at many weddings where the couple clearly could have used a little extra help in executing their plans.

These days, with wedding blogs and DIY websites readily available, more and more couples are opting to plan their own wedding. I love my DIY brides and love their vision and creativity. While there is nothing wrong with this, one thing is for sure—you should not and cannot coordinate your wedding day!

Unlike a full Service Planner, a "Day-of" Coordinator is for couples who want to do most the planning themselves, but when their wedding day arrives, they want and need a professional to bring their vision and hard to work to life.

Sadly, too often couples rely on family and friend to help carry out their plans on the their wedding day. It really isn't fair to put such responsibility on your friends and family by asking them to take on this stressful task. You want these special people in your life to be able to enjoy your day as a "guest" instead of them feeling like the event "staff". In most cases your "volunteers" have little experience in the role of an event planner. And often feel overwhelmed with the task as they try to keep on top of everything that must be done to make you happy and have an organized and smoothly run event.

With an experienced and capable Day-of Coordinator watching over the details of your day, you can enjoy all the special moments with your family and friends with stressing.

Entrust your special day to a professional with the experience and flexibility to handle any last minutes changes  that may come up, so you can enjoy your celebration . . . You'll be glad you did!!
