Wedding Rehearsal - Practice Makes Perfect
April 9, 2016
It might sound like a formality before the rehearsal dinner and welcome party get started, but a wedding ceremony rehearsal is actually pretty important. After all, practice makes perfect! A run-through with your wedding party and officiant will ensure everyone knows when to walk, where to stand, and what to say throughout your ceremony. In the name of being totally prepared for your big moment, who actually needs to be at your rehearsal? Here is how it should go. Your wedding rehearsal is the key to having a successful wedding ceremony.
The Unity Cross Ceremony
March 18, 2016
The Unity Cross is a unique way to celebrate the joining of a bride and groom together as one. It is a beautiful sculpture that is assembled during the wedding ceremony symbolizing a bride and groom becoming ONE in the body of Christ. The groom places the outer cross in the wood base. The bride then places the sculpted cross inside the outer cross. The Unity Cross can be displayed in the couple's home after the wedding ceremony as a reminder of their wedding day and the union they share.
Finding the Perfect Officiant for You
March 9, 2016
The officiant is not just a vendor, and selecting your Officiant is not the same as selecting flowers or DJ. While it may and should include a business agreement, it is also a very sacred agreement. The officiant is the facilitator of the most important aspect of your wedding; the ceremony; and you will share an intimate moment in time together. I see the relationship between the couple and the officiant as more of a partnership and believe both should treat the process and relationship respectfully.
Cord of Three Strands Ceremony (God's Knot)
February 22, 2016
The God's Knot Cord of Three Strands is a great addition to a traditional wedding ceremony. It adds a truly unique element to your ceremony that friends and family will remember. It can also serve as a substitute for the unity candle. This is useful for situations where candles may not be used, or may be difficult. The Cord of Three Strands works well as a substitute in outside weddings.
Ring Warming Ceremony
February 1, 2016
If you are looking for a unique element to add to your wedding ceremony, incorporating a ring warming into your wedding is such a special way to involve all of your guests in your ceremony. A ring warming is when you give your loved ones the opportunity to hold and infuse your wedding bands with a wish, blessing or prayer for your marriage. By the time your rings make it on to your fingers they will be infused with all the love of your friends and family.
